Payment Security
How We Keep Your Card Details Safe
We understand you may have questions about storing payment methods for invoices and future purchases. Here’s how our secure payment system works.
🔒 Your Card Details Never Touch Our Servers
Direct to Stripe
Your card details go directly to Stripe (our payment processor) through an encrypted connection. We never see your card information.
Secure Tokenisation
Stripe creates a secure digital “token” – think of it like a safe deposit box key that only Stripe can use.
Safe Storage
We only store this “key” in our system, never your actual card number, CVV, or expiry date.
💾 What We Actually Store
📋 In Our Database
- ✓ A Stripe reference ID (like a customer number)
- ✓ The last 4 digits of your card (so you can identify which card you’ve saved)
- ✓ The card brand (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and expiry month/year
❌ We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or any sensitive details.
🏦 Bank-Level Security
Your actual card information is protected by:
PCI DSS Level 1
Stripe’s certification – the highest security standard in the payment industry (the same level used by major banks)
256-bit Encryption
The same technology banks use to protect online transactions ensures your data is secure
24/7 Monitoring
Continuous monitoring by Stripe’s dedicated security team protects against threats
📧 Why This Matters for Invoice Payments
When we send you an invoice for payment, we can offer the convenience of using your saved payment method without ever having access to your actual card details. The payment is processed securely through Stripe’s infrastructure, not ours. This means you get the convenience of one-click payments with the security of knowing your card information is stored in a bank-grade secure vault.
